Happy Australia Day!It was so hot here today that my three Aussie friends went outside for some fresh air. I asked them to pose for me in the tree and although it wasn't a gum tree they agreed.
The little koala is about 50 years old. She was a gift from my Aunty, who still lives in Australia, to my father before I was born. The platypus is Finns and the wombat I acquired recently to keep the others company. LOL.
Nope, there are only 30 days in Jan. I should know.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwww - such a cute TRIO. This is yet another shot I can steal for my theme!! Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful litle furry critters. I have a couple of those old koalas too - my dad tells me they were made of kangaroon hide but I am not sure I believe him. I am kinda hoping it is really rabbit. I also have a wombat and a platypus - I will try to get a shot later and post it in the comments thread.
ReplyDeleteHappy Australia Day little cute furry critters!
Cool! More strange little creatures for me to look at!
ReplyDeleteI loved your tribute to Australia Day.
ReplyDeleteThe set up, light and focus are perfect too!
But your animals miss me of mine ... :-)
Cutie animals!! The wombat looks especially soft and cuddly. Great idea for Australia Day.
ReplyDeleteA great collection of two, although they are quite clearly manufactured by different places, and to different scales! A wombat is considerable bigger than a koala which is a bit bigger than a platypus (which I have never seen in a tree!) ;-)
ReplyDeleteA lovely shot of them and thanks for the acknowledgement of Australia Day. It is a VERY big day here!
BTW, kangaroo fur is extremely soft and very like rabbit fur, so it wouldn't surprise me if that's what it was.
Aw what a sweet tribute to Au Day, I tried to get a post up yesterday but it wouldn't go up for some unknown reason.
ReplyDeleteI've actually seen an albino Koala - it had blue eyes and was so cute.
I've never seen a platypus as they are very shy - I've heard they are very excited at breeding them in a zoo down south.
A cute warm and fuzzy trio
They're so cute! I can't believe that koala is 50 years old, he looks so white and well kept. They all look to be the best of friends :)
